Greens stand with South Central Farmers

Los Angeles Greens are standing with South Central Farmers against a possible eviction from the place they have transformed over the past 13 years from abandoned, rat-infested land into a vibrant community garden overflowing with fruits, vegetables and Meso-American spices. Green Congressional candidate Byron De Lear (second from right, above) joined Daryl Hannah, John Quigley, Joan Baez, Julia Butterfly Hill, and Dele at a press conference at the Farm on May 24. The LA Greens endorsed the struggle in December.
