LA Greens Meeting: Wed., July 16

Join LA Greens at our Wednesday, July 16 meeting. We'll have a recap
from local delegates who attended the Green Party National
Convention in Chicago and a report on South Central Farm activists
working to block a warehouse going up on the former South Central
Farm site.

You can listen to a highlights of the Green Party National Convention
on KPFK Radio on Sunday, July 13, from 9am to 12pm.


The Los Angeles Greens meet the third Wednesday of every month at 7PM
at The Peace Center, 8124 W. Third St., Los Angeles, CA 90048.
Meetings are free (donations accepted) and open to the public.
Children are welcome. Parking is available behind the building.

The LA Greens are also very active in between meetings. To get

LA Greens June mtg canceled: Full Moon Hike instead!

Due to many people out of town, the LA Greens June 18th meeting is canceled.

A few of us left in town are joining the FULL MOON HIKE at Charmlee Wilderness Park.

Two Initiatives on June 3 Ballot

Props 98 and 99 sound similar -- they both talk about eminent domain. But Prop 98 would also phase out rent control. That's one reason why a vast coalition, ranging from tenants' rights group Coalition for Economic Survival to Dianne Feinstein and Arnold Schwarzenegger oppose Prop 98, and support prop 99.

Rock out w/ LA Greens on April 12

Flier for LA Greens event - April 12, 2008It ain’t easy being Green, but on April 12th it’ll rock!

The LA Greens will be throwing a benefit for the Green Party featuring Presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney on Sat, April 12th at the Zero Point Artspace located at 1049 32nd St (at Central) in south downtown (north of USC campus).

Featured acts include: The Changos, Killing Cassanova, Laura Walters, Jimmy vs the Ninjas, comedians David Corrado & Rob Fulcher, DJ MissAdventure, and the Blazing Queen of the Rhumba. Help us stick it the Man one band at a time. $10 cover and cash bar with ID.
